Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Safety Data Sheets
At Workforce Facilities we comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002.
We provide effective COSHH training, to all our cleaning employees to help ensure that everyone in the workplace is competent to carry out their work safely. Managers, supervisors and other members of staff should be able to recognise the hazards posed by their work, be able to take action to reduce or eliminate the risks and understand how to follow procedures.
Product Data Information
Use the alphabetical list below to find your safety data sheet, COSHH Risk Assessment, Product Usage Guide and Work Equipment Risk Assessment. Each letter corresponds to the first letter of each product against which your download will be available.
C.O.S.H.H. stands for The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and is a piece of Health and Safety legislation dealing solely with the cleaning products we use to carry out the cleaning service.
In delivering a cleaning service, we use a wide range of cleaning products, most of which need to be stored in your building at all times.
In most cases, it is possible to store these products securely, safely out of the reach of users of the buildings. Unfortunately, this is not the case in all buildings. With the obvious risks to safety this poses, managers must produce a comprehensive risk assessment for every product stored on site.
These risk assessments deal with the risks posed by each individual product and identify the necessary control measures to be adopted on site to remove or minimise those risks. Of course all of the products if stored, handled and used correctly, are completely safe and pose no significant risk to users.
